OUR BEGINNINGS
MARTY WAS BORN IN 1957 TWO BLOCKS WEST OF THE BAR. AT THAT TIME THE BAR WAS OWNED BY JOE AND CARRIE LUCCI. THEIR DAUGHTER WAS MARTHA LUCCI. SHE WAS MARTY’S MOTHERS GOOD FRIEND. MARTY IS NAMED AFTER HER. IN 1964 MARTY’S FAMILY MOVED A BLOCK EAST OF THE BAR. THE FAMILY CONTINUED TO FREQUENT LUCCI’S FOR
THEIR GREAT SAUSAGE SANDWICHES.
MARJIE WAS BORN ABOUT 29 YEARS AGO IN RUNNEMEDE, NJ.
MARTY AND MARJIE WERE MARRIED IN 1991. IN 1993 THEY BOUGHT MARTY’S MOTHERS HOUSE FROM THE ESTATE. THEY STARTED FREQUENTING THE BAR (THEN IT WAS COSMA’S) AROUND 1996.
THEY SOLD THE HOUSE AND MOVED UPSTAIRS IN DECEMBER OF 2002 AND PURCHASED THE BAR MARCH 5, 2003. THIS BAR IS NOW TRULY OUR HOME AND WE ARE HONORED TO HAVE YOU AS OUR GUEST. WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR LIVING ROOM AND HOPE YOU ENJOY THE COMPANY OF OUR FRIENDS AS MUCH AS WE DO.
